I build creative teams
who love how they work.

Because the systems are built around them.

Fast work. High quality. No stress.
When the workflow fits the people,
the results take care of themselves.

The Origin

It started with
2,600 ads a week.

Early in my career I was handed a production operation in crisis — daily newspaper deadlines, a staff that kept growing, and no system that could scale. I designed one from scratch: intake, routing, triage, QA, training, and reporting. Within months we were delivering 2,600+ ads weekly at 99.98% accuracy with 150+ staff.

The system worked because the people trusted it. I spent as much time on training and feedback as I did on architecture. That's still how I work.

That methodology — now called Deliberate Production™ — has been applied to newspapers, agencies, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and creative departments nationwide ever since.

What I Do

What changes when
I'm involved.

Creative teams stop fighting their tools.

Intake, routing, approvals, and handoffs become invisible — because they're designed around how people actually work, not how a system thinks they should.

Work moves faster without cutting corners.

Speed and quality stop being a tradeoff when the workflow eliminates the friction that was slowing everything down.

People know what to do and why.

Clear systems, inline guidance, and continuous feedback mean less management overhead and more confident, autonomous teams.

The people and the system keep improving.

Feedback loops, usage data, and built-in refinement cycles mean the operation gets better over time — not just on day one.

Proof

Systems that had to work.

Three examples. Real problems. Real constraints.

Alcohol compliance decision tree flowchart

Compliance & Logic

When regulations made every order a risk.

An alcohol e-commerce company needed to comply with a patchwork of federal, state, and local laws — every order a potential liability. I mapped every decision point into a binary logic tree that determined in real time whether an order could be fulfilled. The system was adopted immediately because it removed the guesswork and protected the team.

Information Architecture

When a medical center needed patients to find their way.

UCLA Oncology needed one website serving six completely different audiences — patients, families, physicians, researchers, nurses, and staff. Six teams. Six agendas. Everyone wanted their content front and center. I mapped the full information architecture before a single line of code was written — 40+ pages, color-coded by audience — and used that diagram as the tool that got six competing groups to agree. The site launched. That's what the diagram was really for.

Operations & Scale

When a production operation needed to scale fast.

A newspaper production agency went from a small studio to 150+ staff in under three months. I designed the hiring system, the training program, the production triage logic, the QA infrastructure, and the reporting — all simultaneously, under daily deadline pressure. The operation hit 99.98% accuracy and the methodology it produced is still in use today.

Methodology

There's a name
for how I work.

Deliberate Production™ is a workflow methodology I developed managing one of the highest-volume creative production environments in the country. It's been refined through years of application and applied to creative departments, agencies, publishers, and digital organizations nationwide.

The core idea: systems should make people better at their jobs, not just faster at following rules. Every system I build is designed for adoption first — because a system nobody uses is just documentation.

I'll share more when we talk.
